Summertime is just sublime,
When lazing in the sun
Who cares about the time
When you are having so much fun

As the beach rolls out before you
Busy little people abound
Bucket & spade in hand
Making castles in the sand

A cool glass of white wine
A spreading picnic feast
For you life is just divine
Intoxicating smells of the meadow released

A swim in the lake
A splash here and there
All your senses awake
Shivering cries of laughter everywhere

The sun goes down
The kids in bed
On the floor lies a flower crown
Another perfect summer day has ended
